We used New York Movers to load a container for my upcoming cross-country move. Arrangement was made at the very last minute and by the way the movers were extremely helpful and flexible, and also very thorough in describing the service and other costs. We did the move on a Saturday, in the afternoon at my request because we were still packing. The two movers from New York Movers were courteous and professional. The owner called me the next day to check on the service, making sure everything was satisfactory and asking for suggestions on how they can improve. A quality operation! Thanks New York Movers .

I moved this past weekend within New York and decided to go with this company New York Movers for my second moving adventure. They couldn't have done a better job. The move was completed in 4.5 hours flat (included loading, unloading and travelling across the bridge). The 2 man crew sent was courteous, fast, and efficient. They did not waste a single minute. They even skipped their break so they could continue with completing my move.. The one thing I would definitely recommend for an efficient move is to have everything packed, labeled, and ready to go as it will help up to expedite moving process. My only concern was that due to some reason they did not accept payment thru card on that day and I had to arrange for a cashiers cheque from my bank which caused some inconvenience otherwise their service was not bad.

My experience with New York Movers was quite good. We were referred by my hubby's co-worker and the person I spoke with was professional and diligent. We got a reasonable price quote for our move and opted for the flat rate. On the day of the move, they arrived 40 minutes early and began moving our stuff right away. I'm used to movers being LATE so this was a new experience for me! There were 3 guys that came and they moved my stuff quite quickly and carefully. They wrapped all my stuff for me and were finished within 4 hours. I would definitely use them again!

We were recommended New York Movers from a friend who had a pleasant experience in hiring them and to be honest we really made the right decision in hiring them. Their entire team from the initial telephonic talk with the sales rep was a pleasure to talk with. . On the moving day 2 well built guys marched in following the schedule list and accomplished their task in 3 hours flat. They were really sincere and honest and I am sure one can get that feeling very early in your conversation with them. My only concern was that due to some reason they did not accept payment thru card on that day and I had to arrange for a cashier's cheque from my bank which caused some inconvenience and waste of our time otherwise they were good with their moving job.

"Excellent Movers In a word - excellent. I used New York Best Movers because I had used them before and been very satisfied with the service. This time, I was even more impressed with their care for my belongings. We had to move nothing but antique furniture that has been in my family for a number of years. Many of the pieces were over 100 years old. Some of them were very heavy and bulky. I was very nervous about this move because of the fact that we were dealing with antiques. An antique china cabinet was my biggest worry because of the bowed glass on the piece. If anything happened to that glass, it would be nearly impossible to replace. All of the pieces would be costly to try to replace or repair if they were damaged in any way -- and all of them held enormous sentimental value to me - so if they were harmed the emotional loss would also be great. First, I want to compliment you guys of NYC Movers on your tremendous help and patience throughout this stressful time for me. I was very unsure on how this process worked, as you know, I had very many questions and I just wanted to be as prepared as I could be. So to you I want to let you and your supervisors know, I appreciate all your consideration, knowledge and patience and I personally wish to THANK YOU again! As far as the two men who picked up my things in New York City, my hat's off to them. The younger guy was very quiet, but the other guy was very courteous on the phone calls, I was as flexible for him as I could be for the pick up time changes, and he was an absolute delight to work with. He explained the tickets, (colored labels) diligently worked to have my things loaded very quickly and I want to take the time to make sure that HE and his supervisor knew, as well, how grateful, thankful and appreciative I am of his patience with me and their care for my things.

NYC Movers are good, honest and reliable guys. Their crews were great. There was 4 men they showed a little before 9am. They wrapped everything in shrink wrap and in blankets. They were courteous and kind a real joy to be moved with! On delivery , 4 days later, we had another crew and new guys were also nice and experienced. The best part, NOTHING was Broken and NOTHING was missing! They set up all the beds and hooked up our washing machine. We have a 4 bedroom house and 3 kids. If we had to do this move ourselves it would've been a nightmare. But these fellows made it a dream!

I would never book a move with
New York Movers based on the service I just got calling them for a quote. I called New York Movers to get a quote on my upcoming move....I got someone name Mikeon the phone. I was treated horribly and when I asked to speak to a manager I was hung up on. There are so many moving companies why would I ever choose a place which allows their employees to treat potential customers so rudely and with complete disregard????

My neighbor upstairs (3 condo unit) used New York Movers movers when she moved out a few years ago, and they parked their giant truck within inches of my wife's car in our parking lot. I was worried that they would end up hitting or scratching it, so I took pictures of their truck's precarious position. Then, after they left, I went down to see if there was any damage - sure enough, there was a GIANT scrape along the passenger side back door and rear quarter panel! I took pictures of this as well and sent them a letter explaining the situation. They never responded. Everything was denied on subsequent phone calls to follow up, including ever having received my letter and photos.

"Shady" is too charitable a term to describe this operation. Avoid at all costs.

They raised our house 5 feet in the air so we could put a basement under it. There wasn't even any damage at all on the inside or outside when they set it back down. Mike (the owner) was even there with his crew the whole time stacking the blockes that hold the house up. I don't know much about other house raisers/movers but I would highly recomend these guys. They even let me pull the lever on the machine to raise the house up. It's a little scary watching your house slowly float up in the air but these guys know what they're doing. Some of the pictures Mike showed me just blew me away. I didn't know they could pick up, let alnoe move buildings the size of some of the ones he showed me.

I just moved with New York Movers from Midtown Manhattan to Fort Lee, NJ. I first want to express how friendly their staff was; their foreman Mike, Chris and the other guy from the company's Customer service his name is Andrew were great. They arrived right on time and went straight to work wrapping my furniture and stacking boxes. They were fast, efficient and very professional and worked with care. I've moved several times in the past 5 years and this was the best experience by far! There are some very shady movers out there but I have to say this was an incredibly positive experience. I moved from Brooklyn, NY to New York city this weekend. Friday my boyfriend and I were looking at our belongings thinking how much we didn't want to move them but we couldn't afford what movers were charging. We found a flier at our mailbox area in the complex and they had a special advertised econ move $299. Well, we knew that a move from Brooklyn, NY to New York City could not be done for $299 but we gave them a call on Friday. They said we couldn’t get the econ rate because of the distance. I explained we really didn't have much, a 1 bedroom but it was on the 2nd floor and we were moving to a second floor. The least expensive we found when shopping around was $ 650. They came out and took a look and gave us a great price. The movers were fast and friendly. The total was under $500 and I didn't break a sweat. We called on Friday and were moved on Sunday. I highly recommend this company.

My wife and I moved two weeks ago from an apartment to our first home. The movers showed up on time and were friendly and professional. We got an estimate, so we meet the owner before the move. He sent three men who worked hard and it was not an easy move. The owner came and helped out with the move later, during the unload. He has obviously done this a long time. We had a very good move with this company the weekend of 8/8. We did a move from Raleigh to New York City. We got the economy move. Everything went great but after we unpacked I found that my drill was missing. I called the office to notify them that the guys may have picked it up by accident. I spoke to the owner Frank who apologized and promised to get to the bottom. He called back two days later and apologized again, he spoke to the guys no one knew what happened. He asked me the model number and said they would be happy to replace the drill. I had to send in a claim form and then I could be reimbursed or they could purchase another.
I have to say the thought of something being taken made me very upset. The next weekend my old roommate calls to ask if I needed my drill back he picked up when I was moving. Yeah, I felt real dumb. Too dumb to call the owner Frank back to tell him it was a mistake. He called me last week to let me know he had found my model and he could go get it or give me a check for it.

Moving is one of my least favorite things in life, perhaps tied along with going to the dentist. Unfortunately for me, I have to move almost as often as I go to the dentist, whether for school, work, etc. This time I decided I was not going to do this on my own and decided to hire some professionals. I called American trusted Movers - about 4 days before my move and they were able to get the time/day I needed with no trouble. The women who helped me were really friendly and asked all the right questions about my move so she could get the info she needed to the movers. I told her I had a couch that would likely have to be hoisted over the balcony because it wouldn't fit through the door, and she said that was no problem. I chose 3 movers for $ 105/hr (because 3 men were needed for the couch).
The morning of moving day, the movers showed up at the scheduled time. Once they got there, they worked quickly and efficiently, and were super friendly. They hoisted the couch over the balcony with no trouble at all, and shrink wrapped all my stuff to keep it protected. Then they drove from Pasadena to the storage unit in OC where my stuff was being stored. They got slightly lost, but didn't charge me for that extra time when it came time to settle the bill. All in all, the move couldn't have gone more smoothly, and they were super careful with all of my belongings. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

I try 3 moving companies New York Movers were the only moving company that had the required insurance that my condo building required for them to work in the building. I guess most movers in New York don't carry this? It was great that this company did I was about to give up trying to find a company that had it. They did a good job also I would use them again.

This was the first professional moving company we have used so I have no comparison. However, they arrived on time. Worked quickly and efficiently. We had to move a 5 bedroom house in a weeks time so there were many, many boxes and furniture including a pool table and a hot tub! They worked extremely hard to get it all moved. For the amount of work they did, I felt the cost was reasonable. They even arranged to move a piano to a second location. I would use them again and recommend them to friends.

When everything was finally on the truck we were off, they followed me to my new apartment. , Once we arrived at the apartment they started to unload the furniture first and put it exactly where I wanted it to go. The boxes were then taken off the truck and placed in my new living room. Every box was there and I opened each one in front of them, just to make sure nothing was broken or damaged and sure enough nothing was. My wife and I moved last week in the New York Best Movers. Initially, we were reluctant to hire New York Best Movers. But we saw great reviews on them everywhere, so we decided to give it a try. We were EXTREMELY happy with our moving experience. They came one day to complete the packing, and then came the following day to complete the move. It was undoubtedly our most pleasant moving experience ever. They did not damage a single thing (including crystal glasses, heavy furniture, etc.). And they didn't ding a single wall or door. I am no stranger to moving around so I have seen the best and the worst movers and packers so when I called New York Best Movers - I did not exactly have very high expectations. Let’s just put it this way after all the problems that I have had with some of the companies I see movers and packers as a necessary evil. I do my own packaging because that way at least I can be sure that I have done my best to protect my things. I was expecting some damage when my things were delivered to New Jersey from NYC but to my utter surprise nothing was broken and this is the first time that my stuff was actually delivered on time. So I am certainly very impressed with this company. If you want your things to get to your destination in time and safe you should definitely consider them.

These guys were the best possible company I could have chosen to move my family and I from New York City. We interviewed several companies in our residence and several others over the phone and via email. 3 van lines came out to our home to give us those estimates and their estimates were all over the map in regards of volume and pricing from 11,000 pounds all the way up to 19,000 pounds and these are the national chains including North American Van Lines and Paul Arpin being the highest in terms of weight. I emailed over their estimates to my moving coordinator at New York Best Movers Mike Lenny and he went over the paperwork and entered their inventory list into his database and came up with a weight estimate of 14,600 pounds and with the packing added the total price came to $9,000.00 when the others were all over $12,000!! I chose New York Best Movers for several reasons, their better business rating is an A, their reviews are stellar and I can see why and last of all but not most importantly their price was $3,000 less for the same exact service. Now, unlike many people, cost was not the deciding factor in choosing a company because my company was picking up the tab for all moving expenses but I wanted a reputable company that I could entrust all of my family’s belongings to and be at ease during the course of the move. At 10 am Monday morning the 16th of November the 4 man crews showed up at my home to prep, fill out paperwork, and load our belongings. The movers that showed up was the agent for my move and all I can say is that Mike and his brother were the most professional and totally down to earth movers I have ever met. They were cordial, funny and worked their butts off the whole time while the hired movers packed everything and Mike brother inventoried all of our items. Well, after the loading they went to the weigh station to weigh our shipment and the next morning we received a call from Lenny at New York Best Movers to give us our weights and the total cost of our move because we were aware that it could swing either way and be over the estimate or under the estimate. Lenny told us that the weight was less then the estimate by 900 pounds which deducted $180.00 but my packing was over by $295.00 so my actual price was only over by $115.00. In all, this was the best move and moving company experience we have had yet and we have moved a total of 4 times since we have been married and several others before we met and collectively we could not have hoped for a better move. My reason for posting this reference is to let other people that may be searching for moving companies and quotes that New York Best Movers is an honest company that provided us and obviously judging from their reviews and ratings many others with exceptional service ad I promised Mike that once our move was completed that I would post a review be it negative or positive and we are happy for obvious reasons that it is as positive a review as we could post.

When my husband and I planned our move from LA to New York City, I quickly became overwhelmed by the details involved, not to mention all the moving companies and options available. We chose New York Movers based on price – Reliable & Professional Services.

When I tried to make the reservation online, a message came up that said they couldn't do the move. After calling and talking to the New York Movers in LA, our move was reserved and our plan set. The confirmation was sent on email and very easy to decipher, nothing weird or unusual. They estimated the need for 16 feet Truck, but were allowed to pack less, but we would be required to pay for at least seven feet. Two days before the move, I called to confirm. The New York Movers in LA said they would come anytime after 8 am to pick up our belongings.
They arrived at 8:45 on our moving day with a bigger truck and it couldn't have been easier. Everything was simple and smooth.

They packed our stuff up and covered it with tarps and then installed the bulkhead. We didn't use anything to secure the load other than a little tape (which we really didn't think would hold anything; it just made us feel better).

We ended up using 12 feet of space and paid only $1567.00. Our things arrived over the July 4th weekend. Therefore, we weren't able to get our things for several days, but we knew this would be the case.

We called to pick up our things, but the cargo behind it was not off yet, so we had to wait another day.

The next day we went they arrive about 10 Am. Our stuff was in perfect condition. There was some dirt/dust over some of our stuff that we hadn't been able to get under the tarp. We also had wrapped all of our furniture in plastic & moving blankets.

I would suggest buying high quality boxes. We moved a lot of heavy boxes of books. We bought special double walled boxes from Staple. Some of the boxes we had used in a previous move and they still held up. None of these boxes crushed at all. Our other boxes got crushed before they even got out of our apartment. It's definitely worth a little more for high quality boxes.

New York Movers was a great choice for what we needed. We didn't have too much stuff...lots of boxes and IKEA furniture broken down. Also, we weren't going to drive the Uhaul across the country with the truck alone costing $2000, plus gas.

Today, yes my Husband & I are thankful to New York Movers, We are here in Hawaii, { Honeymoon } Enjoying the beautiful weather & I am taking a few minutes of my vacation to thank this Wonderful Company – They made it easy for us – We saved a lot of money { by the way we used part of it to our Honeymoon } .

We moved to Chicago from New York City. I called around trying to find the cheapest & Reliable Moving Company ion NYC, already after my husband had done some calling himself and he had decided to use U-haul because it was just cheaper than the rest. He was going to be riding the bus back to NYC to help us move since he was already in Chicago working and probably wouldn't be getting much sleep to drive the Uhaul after the long bus ride (14hrs).

I ended up finding This New York Movers Company by word of mouth from my mom saying that a friend of hers used New York City Movers. I decided to do a search on the internet and found all those positive reviews about this company. I called them to find out more about the pricing. I later called back with more questions regarding other things that I've read in your reviews (Thank you!). New York City Movers was by far the cheapest & Reliable compared to Uhaul including the gas, insurance, etc... And the rest of the companies that I had contacted, Penske, Budget and so forth.

When I called them, here are some questions that I asked and wanted included in or on my truck:

1. Will my truck be cleaned out, no pallets etc on?
**His answer** (Mike}: They almost always clean it out. There might be some dust or a little dirt.
(I had planned on sweeping the inside out and then putting down a tarp on the floor of the truck to protect my furniture or anything else that wasn't packed in a box.)

2. I want a truck that has latches or hooks of some sort to tie off my stuff.
**His answer**: All the new trucks have tie off latches and all of the old trailers have the boards that you can just nail into and tie off, off of that.
(I told him that I would like a newer truck then so I wouldn't have a hassle. He said that would be fine)

3. What kind of gate is the 'bulkhead wall' and is it secure enough to hold not be pushed? Also, Do I need to make sure that I have the lower and upper bulkhead locks?
**His answer: It's a plywood board that is extended from both sides of the truck and load bars kind of like a jack. He said you don't need the bulkhead lock upper and lower anymore. These are newer and easier to use.
(I accepted that. In fact, they are easy to use and work just great. At the end after having the truck loaded, there were some cleaning supplies from cleaning our apartment that I wanted to stick inside the truck. We ended up tying a rope and putting the cleaning supplies inside a kitchen garbage can and attaching the rope to both sides of the garbage can and slowly slid it down on the other side of the bulkhead wall.)


4. How do I lock the bulkhead wall or will I have problems doing it?
**His answer: He said there are very basic directions on the wall itself and if I wanted I could have the driver show us how. **
(I found it very easy to follow and it was not a problem. The driver even checks it when they pick it up to make everything is stable.)

I would personally like to thank the movers for both of my home moves. The staff was very personable and professional.
My first move was on July 5th and it rained a steady rain all day. Through it all they were experts -- wrapping all of my delicate furniture so that the rain would not damage it. They took the time and care to make sure that everything was safely protected.
During my second move in the begining of August, it was a long, long day. They started early 8:30am and ended at approximately 7:30pm. They moved all of the items from storage from my earlier move, and then proceeded to move my husband’s house to the new location. Again, they were experts.
My husband and I both appreciate the professionalism and time that the staff put in.

What a miraculous move!!!!! It couldn't have been completed with any other movers. The New York Cheapest Mover's crews were by far the best movers I have work with since my move from South Carolina. The team that was sent to my home provided service beyond reproach. I have large scale and heavy furniture; the mover took great care in wrapping, loading, and off loading all my furniture and items to ensure no damage occurred.

New York Best Movers were great. Mike was so responsive and flexible in our planning and also very personable. The leader of our team, Lenny, was extremely eager to please us and seemed patient beyond expectations. All the men worked very hard and all of our belongings came through in great condition. Grace was also very helpful...We wouldn't use any other movers and would gladly be used as a reference.

I do not usually take the time to call the owner of a company regarding his employees but when I used New York Movers just recently, I was amazed with the crew they sent out. They were above and beyond my expectations for being so professional AND courteous!! I will definitely recommend New York Movers to anyone I know who will be moving. I use New York Movers to move me from Maryland to New York City . I went from a normal size house to a retirement community, but I had a nice size cottage, so there was much to move. Most movers I called would not give me a definite date for both loading and unloading, but it was very important to me that they come to load one day, we travel the next day, and they unload the following day. New York Movers was the only one who gave it some thought, and then called me to say they would do it my way!! That was extremely important to me, and it was an indication that they did try to make their customers happy.
The packing crew came on time, spent the entire day packing, and we were to meet in Ohio 2 days later. Alto the crew could use a computer to plot their route from MD to NYC, my retirement community was so new that my street address would not be in the computer. I gave the man in charge the only phone no. I had at the retirement community. When my son and I arrived in Ohio, we were told the head man of New York Movers had called to find out the exact spot they were to deliver my furniture, and to pinpoint the time a little closer. I was very impressed with that!
The van arrived when it was supposed to, the crew unloaded all of the furniture and boxes in the midst of workmen coming and going everywhere, but they got the furniture put together properly and the boxes stored neatly in one section of the living room. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs to hire a moving company. They were professional, reliable, and careful. Moving is not for the faint-hearted, but they made a terrible chore as tolerable as could be expected of any company.

We had to move nothing but antique furniture that has been in my family for a number of years. Many of the pieces were over 100 years old. Some of them were very heavy and bulky. I was very nervous about this move because of the fact that we were dealing with antiques. An antique china cabinet was my biggest worry because of the bowed glass on the piece. If anything happened to that glass, it would be nearly impossible to replace. All of the pieces would be costly to try to replace or repair if they were damaged in any way -- and all of them held enormous sentimental value to me - so if they were harmed the emotional loss would also be great. When Mike and his crew arrived, I expressed my concerns to them, and they assured me they would be very careful and everything would be ok. They assessed the situation - we weren't moving everything from the house, and part of what we were moving was going to my condo while other items were going to storage. They got to work and began to carefully pack and wrap the antiques and move them carefully to the truck. Each member of the crew treated my precious antiques as if they were their own belongings.

Just the thought of moving again is stressful. My wife and I were very happy with your services and assisting us through this transition. The movers were very polite and professional. My hat goes off to you. Thank you to the office staff and the New York Movers.

YOU CAN'T BEAT IT!
New York Best Movers were the best. The movers took the time to pad everything so that there was no damage, and unlike many moving companies, I didn't have to watch to make sure they kept "moving" and were not just standing around. The guys arrived on time and eager to get the job done. After the move, which only took 2 hours because they were really hustling to get it complete, they offered to move everything into its place and set it up. When I move again, and I will soon since I am consolidating two homes and have only done the first one, I will definitely use them again!
